About me

Good health content puts patients first

Health content isn't just about metrics. I believe that our collective responsibility to patients, their carers and beyond matters.

Why I care

We all deserve the best

Innovation in the health space is changing lives and expanding access for us all. But the industry's beating heart is the patient. I support brands who are striving for better health outcomes through content strategies for digital products and platforms.

What good looks like

Clarity. Accuracy. Relatability.

Content is both an art and a science. You can create beautifully crafted content while ensuring that it is clinically sound, precise and up to date.

‍
Here are the things I think are most important in getting it right.

Plain English

Content that explains without alienating

Clinical collabs

Working with your team for clinical accuracy

Patient voices

Your users and their communities matter

Content lifecycle

Knowing when to add, remove or maintain content builds trust

About me

Content strategy for digital health businesses

I’m Maryam, a content strategist and consultant.

I’ve worked in science, healthcare and pharmacy for over a decade and have been passionate about improving outcomes for patients.

I've spent my career working with teams who value both clinical excellence and commercial impact, first as a science and health writer and for the past several years leading content strategy inside a major UK pharmacy business.

I'm now working independently, helping digital health and pharmacy brands build content that earns trust, performs in search, and does something measurable for the businesses.
